Unity League Cup Champions 2022

In one of our biggest matches since we were founded, Scoutables took on Red Road in the Unity League Cup Final, in front of a full stand at Petershill Park.

Red Road opened the scoring in the first half with a well worked free kick routine, before high pressing by Bottz on the oppositon goalkeeper forced a mistake and an easy finish, making it 1-1. Later in the first half, a great team move from Scoutables resulted in the ball breaking to Idrissa Sarr and he provided a lethal finish into the top corner to put Scoutables 2-1 ahead going into half time.

Red Road took control at the start of the second half, scoring 2 goals from set pieces to put them 3-2 ahead. Excellent effort and defending from Red Road meant with 10 minutes to go they still held their lead, until the pressure from Scoutables finally paid off when they won a penalty for a handball in the box. Bottz instantly stepped up and converted into the bottom corner, to send the game to penalties.

All 5 Scoutables penalty takers scored, securing the win.

We would like to thank everyone who made the trip to Petershill Park and are proud of the team for winning their first Silverware since the project was started.
